It is theorized that the universe was formed by what scientists call the 'big bang.' The big bang is the most commonly accepted model for the universe, being believed to be a theory stating that the universe was originally created with a colossal band of gas and dust that clumped together and burned to create stars, planets, asteroids, basically everything. And the universe is also believed to still be burning and clumping together gas and dust as we keep living.
